School management that fits how ICSE schools report.
Marks-based reporting with grade bands your school defines, term structures you set rather than a board-imposed template, the UDISE+ return every recognised school files — and one roster feeding all of it.
Updated 11 July 2026What should school management software do for an ICSE school?
CISCE schools work differently from CBSE schools, and generic "board-ready" software often ignores it. ICSE reporting is marks-based — percentages first, grade bands second — and the Council leaves term structure, internal assessment weighting and report-card format largely to the school. Software built rigidly around FA1–SA2 gets in the way. What an ICSE school needs is a system where the school defines the scheme: your terms, your grade boundaries, your report-card layout.
That is how Acadovia is built. ICSE and ISC are first-class board options in your school profile, the grading scale is seeded from an ICSE/ISC preset your office edits band-by-band, and exams are set up term-wise however your academic calendar runs. Underneath it, the paperwork every recognised school owes — the UDISE+ return, APAAR IDs — is prepared from the same roster, in the format the portal accepts.
What does Acadovia cover for a CISCE school?
These come standard with every Acadovia school — there is no separate "ICSE module" to buy:
| Need | Where it applies | What Acadovia does |
|---|---|---|
| Board profile | School settings | ICSE and ISC selectable as your board — with your CISCE affiliation number on record |
| Grading scale | Report cards | ICSE/ISC preset seeded, then fully editable — your letter grades, your minimum percentages |
| Term exams | Teaching | Term-wise exam setup with per-subject mark entry; printable report cards and marksheets |
| UDISE+ student return | UDISE+ portal | Active roster CSV in the current UDISE+ template — applies to every recognised school, CISCE included |
| APAAR IDs | UDISE+ record | Generator for students missing an APAAR ID — no back-fill exercise |
| Data ownership | Everything | Full CSV/PDF export anytime — portal work starts from clean data, not re-typing |
Marks, grade bands and report cards — your scheme, not ours
Teachers enter marks per subject per term; the system applies the grading scale your school has defined and generates the report card. Because the scale is a school-level setting — not hard-coded — an ICSE school reporting percentages with A–E bands and an ISC section carrying a different scale both work from the same mark entry. Published report cards flow to the parent portal, so a parent sees results the day they are released rather than at the next PTM. Homework and curriculum modules carry the term's teaching alongside: per-class, per-subject file drops for worksheets, and homework posting with submission tracking.
How do notices and circulars reach parents?
Honestly, since this is where ERP brochures overpromise: notices are delivered in-app — parents see them in the parent portal — and by email, which went live in July 2026 as an opt-in per user. WhatsApp and SMS delivery are on our roadmap and not live today. If a vendor tells you their WhatsApp notices are "included", ask to see the per-message cost in the contract — WhatsApp Business messaging is metered, and that cost lands somewhere.
